On this tour you will see all the major touristic sights and feel the atmosphere of unique districts of the city that still retain the original atmosphere and authentic buildings of the mid. 19th century. Apart from the emblematic and ceremonial Palace Square, Admiralty, Nevsky Avenue, Arts Square, St. Isaac's and the Old Stock Exchange that no one tourist misses you will see the poorer and much more densely populated historical districts of the Haymarket Square area described by Dostoevsky in his novels, charming Kolomna Neighborhood with the Theatre Square, Grand Choral Synagogue and the New Holland Island, that has recently become the most popular recreational areas for the locals, as well as the Petrogradskaya Side with the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Mosque and Kamenoostrovsky Avenue with impressive Art Nouveau Buildings.
You will get to know more about the various society classes that populated the city before the Revolution, the dramatic changes that the city under the Soviets, the siege of Leningrad during the World War Two and the contemporary times.
In the middle of the tour we will make a short break in one of the traditional eateries of St. Petersburg – tasting pancakes or pies.
The tour includes visits of the Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood and the Peter and Paul Cathedral at the fortress, where Russian monarchs are buried.
