Explore Kremlin Cathedrals, St. Basil's Cathedral and Red Square with an expert guide
Kremlin The Kremlin, ancient citadel of Moscow and now centre of the modern political life of the country, is the main point of interest in the city. During the Kremlin tour, you will see the medieval cathedrals built in distinctive architectural styles and representing ancient Russian principalities that were subordinated by Moscow: Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation Cathedrals and the Church of Laying Our Lady's Holy Robe.
Red Square We will admire the Red Square that has its name derived from the ancient Russian word "beautiful" which happens to coincide with the color "red". Indeed, the vistas of the square today take our breath away just like they did many centuries ago.
St. Basil's Cathedral This is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable symbols of the country that was built to mark the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan principalities in a very strange and astonishing style that had no other equal in the world, nor in Russia. It looks like a fairytale tower and it is a functioning cathedral. During your visit, you will see the interiors of the cathedral and hear the legends surrounding its construction.
