St. Petersburg - City of All Religions

On this tour we will see Russian Orthodox cathedrals and churches of various Christian denominations (Catholic, Protestant and others), the mosque and the synagogue.
The main religion in Russia is Orthodox Christianity, but there are also significant Muslim, Buddhist and Jewish communities that have been an important part of Russia's society for many centuries. In addition to this, from the very first days of the founding of the city, many European communities which represented different Christian denominations settled here. Therefore, along with our magnificent Orthodox cathedrals, we have a mosque, a Buddhist temple and a synagogue which are all architectural masterpieces from imperial times, just like the numerous catholic, protestant, Armenian and Georgian churches. On our tour, we will pass down some of them and visit either St. Isaac's, the main cathedral of the country until 1917, or The Church on the Spilled Blood, built on the spot where the emperor Alexander II was assassinated.
